No, we currently do not provide services for substance abuse. However, we do provide referrals to providers and facilities that do.

PMHNP-BCs are licensed and nationally board certified within their respective state(s). They are advanced practice nurses who hold Masters, Doctorate and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees. As of April 2022, there are 25 states and the District of Columbia where PMHNPs are independent of restrictions (such as collaborative agreements with a physician) as recommended by the National Academy of Medicine, formerly the Institute of Medicine and the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (AANP, 2022)

PMHNPs are experienced and trained as independent healthcare professionals who take after their foundation of providing holistic care, that is to treat the WHOLE person across the lifespan (children to geriatric) and not just the symptoms.

They provide comprehensive evaluation and assessments, diagnose, order tests, perform and interpret testing, prescribe medications and provide psychotherapy. They also provide patient education on lifestyle changes and encourage self-care and involvement in treatment to promote whole person wellness. Click here to learn more about PMHNPs.

Our providers include supportive therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and solution-focused therapy in their medication management visits when appropriate. Intensive therapy sessions are currently not offered at our facility as of yet. However, we do provide referrals to therapists, social workers and counselors as well as collaborate with them.
